Pursuant to Florida Procedures for Ruling on Questions of Ethics (the "Procedural Rules”), The Florida Bar’s Ethics Counsel and Assistant Ethics Counsel are precluded from issuing oral and written ethics opinions, i.e., staff opinions, under certain circumstances. See Rule 2 of the Procedural Rules. For instance, such Bar Counsel are prohibited from providing a staff opinion when an inquiry is regarding a Bar member's past conduct, another attorney's conduct, a question of law, rule or court procedure, or is the subject of a proceeding brought under The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar. Mrs. Schneider is dedicated to assisting Florida attorneys with their ethical responsibilities, including when The Florida Bar's Ethics Counsel is unable to do so.
